UX Design
As someone who is always on the hunt to develop a new skill, I embarked on a journey into the world of UX design through a tech degree with Team Treehouse. This experience allowed me to take my already client-centered design approach and develop it more in the experience of the intended user, learning how to craft seamless digital experiences along the way. Bringing these honed UX skills back to my roles at Flipboard where I was a major player in the creation of Flipboard Surf and Notes.
Team Treehouse
Driven by my passion for graphic design, I embarked on a journey to broaden my skills and delve into the world of UX design through a tech degree with Team Treehouse. This immersive experience equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of user-centric principles and the intricacies of crafting seamless digital experiences. Below are a couple of the projects I got to work on in the course.
Whooshmail Email Marketing Software:
In this project, we were tasked with creating use flows for a new email marketing service that wanted to extend user permissions and garner a higher turnover rate through their campaigns. We then turned that into a prototype and tested it on potential users.
Waverly Grocery App Prototype
With the Waverly Grocery App, I was tasked with the creation of an app that would solve customer problems at my local grocery store. I completed this first through user interviews before launching into the creation of wireframes, a prototype, and further user testing.
Mike’s Shirts Web Redesign
Mike’s Shirts was a client who wanted to completely refresh their branding with a new website and a fresher user experience. As I have a lot of experience with graphic design, I wanted to incorporate the rebrand straight into the new site.
